Job Summary:
Reporting to the Head of Operations and Transformation, the Senior Program Manager is responsible for providing direct program ownership and project management support for planning, development, and execution representing the re-platform program effort for regional bank. Manage the overall program for the re-platform effort consisting of small and large work streams or projects from inception to implementation. Serve as main liaison with various internal partners and stakeholders involved with each initiative and/or program. This position may manage 2+ direct reports.
Major Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage an overall organizational program management framework focused on achieving business outcomes. Key priorities include Deposit System Replacement, Commercial Loan, Origination Software Replacement, etc.).
• Provide seamless cooperation and consistent transparency with Home Office.
• Serve as main liaison with various internal partners and stakeholders including ISA leadership, Executive Management, etc., involved with each initiative, program or work stream.
• Develop and deliver management and program-related presentations to all key governance forums (IT governance, ECA, BOD, Head Office).
• Ensure effective control environment and coordinate across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line stakeholders accountable for overall program status reporting.
• Lead program in support of the bank re-platform effort consisting of multiple high-profile projects impacting customer acquisition, risk reduction, expense reduction, process optimization and profitability.
• Partner and collaborate cross-functionally with various business lines including; Regional Bank, Transaction Banking, Finance, Operations, Risk, Integrated Services and the Enterprise Project Management Office.
• Plan and lead the execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives; develop the program roadmap, provide direct oversight on all activities related to program, roadmap and/or initiative development and execution, communicate program progress.
• Provide feedback for process improvement, lessons learned, program enhancements, and strategic alignment with business.
• Provide hands-on team leadership, management and coaching to staff and matrix team. Work closely with other executives and senior managers to facilitate problem solving, and to obtain necessary resources to meet objectives.
Qualifications
Education, Licensure, Year of Experience (and type of work experience):
• This position typically requires a degree from a four-year college (e.g., B.A., B.S.); advanced degree or MBA is strongly preferred.
• Requires 15+ years in program management, including implementation and execution.
• Requires leadership and management experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• Strong understanding of Banking (Deposit, Mortgage and Loans).
• Must be a creative problem-solver and a creative problem anticipator who is able to anticipate complex issues and problems and takes proactive steps to prevent them from happening.
