The Role:
The Fillmore Silver Spring is in search of a highly motivated, organized and most importantly, enthusiastic individual who is interested in working within the heart of the live entertainment industry. At the Fillmore, we have opportunities for you to develop skills in the following departments: administration, operations, marketing, box office, special events or corporate sales. Our interns gain valuable, real-world experience in the live entertainment industry. Each position reports to each respective department’s managers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES BY DEPARTMENT
Administrative, Office of the General Manager
• Provide support to the general manager and executive administrator
• Organize community-related efforts and outreach
• Implement and ensure sustainability of assigned projects throughout the office
• Data entry and database maintenance
• Work with marketing to maintain the look & feel of the venue
• Help with unique and special venue projects as assigned
Operations
• Assist operations and event management staff
• Work shows of your choice and roam venue during shows and events to watch all operations in action
• Provide support to the operations manager by assisting with show coverage for select performances
• Assist with daily venue operations, including basic housekeeping, repair and maintenance projects, vendor management
*Please note that all interns will be asked to assist with other departments as necessary throughout internship.
HOURS
• This position requires at least 15-20 dedicated hours per week. These 15-20 hours can be completed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., with opportunities to work later/weekend hours during events. We are flexible and can work with your class schedule.
