Operations is one of the largest divisions in the firm and has diverse responsibilities, including correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying and mitigating all operational risks, developing strong client relationships and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and e-solutions. Throughout, the Operations department continually seeks ways to improve while actively supporting the development of new businesses, structures and markets.
This role is in the Equities Derivatives Projects team (part of ISGPO CTB organisation). Equity Derivatives Projects Team is a dynamic and exciting Change the Bank organization.
There are three main streams of work:
• Supporting Business Enablement for new business opportunity, new product enablement
• Responding to Regulatory Demand in Equity Derivatives space - providing SME and change expertise in the trade capture and downstream systems for regulatory agenda
• Operational risk and control - work to reduce or eliminate operational risk in Equity Derivatives domain, and maximize operational control
The successful candidate will manage projects across business enablement, regulatory and market reforms, and operational efficiency agenda for Equity Derivatives. This includes project management, requirement gathering, documentation and test execution, as well as collaborating on the overall program of work for Asia. This person will be responsible for defining, organizing and sharing Asia Equity Derivative change agenda in partnership with both regional and global stakeholders. Regional stakeholders include the full front-to-back business functions including sales and trading, business management, IT, trade support, confirmations, settlement, collateral/margining, tax, compliance, regulatory reporting, finance and treasury.
The successful candidate will be expected to play an active role within the overall global equity derivative program. He/she will represent Asia stakeholder interests within global forums, and reflect the global agenda and stakeholders back to the regional business functions. He/she will have the technical and product skill set to operate in a hands-on capacity where needed, as well as people management skills to oversee teams working on the specific work across multiple teams and locations.
The role will face off to Senior Stakeholders in the business and specifically for Equities Derivatives. The individual will need to support the technical complexity in the Equities Derivatives Business and process in addition to demonstrate strong Project Management and Business Analysis Skills.
This role will report into a VP.
Qualifications
Skills Requirements:
• Strong business, industry and technical knowledge of the equity derivative product set
• Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders of all levels and communicate clearly and concisely
• Able to work through others, including project oversight and people management
• Able to develop and maintain a strong working relationships and network with wide range of stakeholders and internal clients
• Hands on approach to learn quickly to acquire necessary knowledge in products and processes, both technical and operational
• Robust quantitative analysis and problem-solving skills
• Practical experience and knowledge of best practice in project management and knowledge sharing
• Ability to work to a tight deadlines
• Ability to forecast and define future state business solutions and defining the intermediate steps to achieve them in a risk-mitigated manner
• Positive and people-oriented communication style that is inclusive and responsive
