Summary: Manager and technical lead responsible for network & voice operations
Description: Company’s mission is to enable anyone to belong anywhere! We are embarking on a company-wide initiative to transform & re-build our global enterprise network to enable real time unified communications, collaboration and cloud services. The IT Network Collaboration & Services team are responsible for the architecture, design, vendor selection, implementation & operation of the global enterprise network solution consisting of enterprise wide design standards, global backbone, co-location facilities, internet peering, regional branch office WAN services and documentation.
The role of the Operational Manager is to establish business process, standard templates & tools to improve the Company Network & voice infrastructure so it can be run as a reliable quality user service. Expectations will be to establish migration plans, change management best practices, Post Mortem/Root Cause Analysis and service enhancement plans to improve operational excellence for Company Data Center, Corporate network, office wireless service, and contact center voice.
The successful candidate must have a strong technical & leadership background performing similar role with startup company experience, innovative mindset, able to balance strategic versus tactical, experience operating complex range of network & voice infrastructure technology systems, and able to demonstrate sustained successful delivery & operational service improvements.
Responsibilities:
• Operate global Company corporate network that spans multiple international locations
• Develop integration and migration plans to introduce & upgrade infrastructure into the existing global enterprise network
• Sprint planning, release planning & daily stand-ups.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, risk/action logs.
• Create & maintain Operational support documentation (as-built & runbooks) to successfully operate existing and new network & voice technology solutions to improve user experience
• Ability to work effectively as a remote team member based in Dublin, own tasks to completion, collaborate globally and socialize across team(s) to gain feedback & educate.
• Set, own and continually manage technology project expectations with team members and stakeholders.
• Partner with local/regional/global leadership & business to understand needs, challenges and share IT plans
• Provide Tier-2 Technical support & assistance during service impacting outages
• Assist with identifying & screening future team members.
• Coach & mentor team helping them grow and enabling them to reach their career goals
• Develop global support framework & maintain on-call schedules
Requirements:
• 10-15 years combined network & voice experience, operational incident support processes and design life-cycles.
• Enterprise Network, Security & Voice Technology experience & understanding - network (WAN, ISP peering, routing, QoS, IP Addressing, DNS/DHCP), security (Palo Alto firewalls), VPN Services (Palo Alto), Voice services (Cisco UC & SIP) and monitoring (Cisco Prime, Nagios & Liveaction)
• Experience operating a global enterprise using Design Standards, Documentation and Automation
• Occasional domestic & international travel will be necessary.
• Very strong teamwork, collaboration and communication skills.
