Institutional Securities Group (ISG) Product Operations
ISG Product Operations encompasses three functionally aligned organisations comprising of Clearing, Derivative and Securities Operations, directly supporting the trading activity cleared and executed by Company on behalf of our Prime Brokerage, Listed Derivative, Clearing and OTC institutional clients.
The broad organisation partners closely with Sales and Trading to develop and implement new products and services as well as drive efficiency and reduce risk in our processes. At all times we are focused on delivering quality service to clients both internal and external. ISG Product Operations partners closely with Shared Services and Banking Operations, Branch Operations and Operations Risk & Control to deliver a connected 'front to back' view of operations to ISG Sales and Trading.
Team Profile
The Middle Office Risk Support (MORS) team supports the business unit Institutional Equities Division (ED) Risk Management function, handling the critical responsibility of daily monitoring of Non Market Risk (NMR) and Counterparty Risk issues for the Equities/Equity Derivatives division. This includes front to back trade flow analysis and escalation, from trading desk execution to end client documentation completion, settlements and independent amount setting.
Primary Responsibilities
NMR MORS responsibilities include:
• Producing daily Non-Market Risk reporting pack highlighting the Equity and Equity Derivatives trades with affirmation, allocation and settlements issues
• Liaising/coordinating appropriately with the (senior) Operations/PB client coverage counterparts to ensure relevant issues are resolved in a timely manner
• Daily escalation to IED Risk Management of outstanding issues, performing root cause analysis to prevent future reoccurrence
• Coordinating with Trading & Sales on trade booking amendments in order to resolve outstanding risk issues
• Manage the Cancel Correct process in conjunction with Operations and Risk Management
• Understand front to back trade flow for Equities & Equity Derivatives
Additional Responsibilities
Counterparty Risk responsibilities include:
• Counterparty trade control and independent amount setting on trade level & portfolio basis
• Exposure monitoring of underliers/countries
• Monitoring counterparties' ratings, concentration risks, slides analysis
The position is for an experienced candidate within the London MORS team. The successful candidate will be working closely with the IED Risk Management to supervise the NMR responsibilities within the group, providing management and escalation for ongoing daily trade flow related issues as well as driving forward projects in partnership with IED Risk Management, Trading & Sales and Operations counterparts. They will be expected to forge strong relationships with senior members within their peer and stakeholder network in the firm, in order to maintain a controlled environment and deliver business goals for the IED Risk Management division in Europe.
Qualifications
Skills required
Proven Trade Support, Collateral Management or Operations Risk & Control experience
Excellent communicator with ability to build relationships and deliver results
Equities and OTC Derivative product knowledge
Ability to initiate and partner with broader groups to drive projects to execution
Strong control focus and attention to detail required
