The Social Media Manager will oversee the strategy, content creation and day-to-day management of The Daily Meal social accounts. In partnership with various internal teams, the Social Media Manager will develop a robust editorial calendar for each account as well as review analytics and share reports / key learnings with partners on an ongoing basis.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of social media profiles across various platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, etc.) including copywriting, posting, managing the creation of social graphics, reporting and responding to fans
• Own and proactively manage content calendars across platforms
• Generate insight into community performance and provide recommendations for improvement and develop best practices
• Provide ongoing metrics reporting to track impact and effectiveness of the programs
• Discover trending topics, community needs and interests of target audience across social media while adjusting content and messaging accordingly
• Manage social influencer outreach
• Establish and cultivate relationships with online influencers to spread awareness of the brand
• Stay current on Internet user trends and industry developments. Monitor emerging sites and communication channels; recommend new initiatives based this knowledge
Qualifications:
• Must have 2-4 years of experience in a Marketing or Communications role
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is required
• Strong social media / digital knowledge with an understanding and passion for emerging digital trends and technologies
• Strong analytical skills
• Proficiency with Facebook Insights, Twitter Insights, YouTube Insights
• Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about The Daily Meal brand
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Well-organized, proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously and effectively
• The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated passion for social media, content, in addition to skills for developing meaningful growth and engagement strategies for the brand
