ABOUT US:
Company Television Stations consists of 29 owned-and-operated stations, including 16 that are part of the Company Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates. Among its stations are WCBS-TV and WLNY-TV (New York), KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV (Los Angeles), WBBM-TV (Chicago), KYW-TV and WPSG-TV (Philadelphia), KTVT-TV and KTXA-TV (Dallas-Ft. DESCRIPTION:
Candidate must have a minimum of three years’ experience as a weather anchor working in a television newsroom. Requires on-air experience in weather anchoring and live weather reporting. Must have knowledge and understanding of computer graphics systems and computer forecasting. A thorough understanding of Doppler Radar, Nexrad Radar and satellite maps as tools for forecasting a must. Experience with WSI graphics computers and tropical meteorology is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A college degree in meteorology is required and/or the AMS or CBM Seals of Approval.
