Job Description
The Media and Community Relations Intern plays a key role in the Corporate Media and Community Relations team, within the broader International Communications team. Based at Company’s International HQ, this role reports to the Corporate PR Manager and will regularly work with other members of the Media and Community Relations team, PR and community teams around the world, as well as subject-matter experts, spokespeople and top management across the company. The person in this role will aid in promoting and protecting the positioning and visibility of the Company brand with players, the general public, media and influencers worldwide.
The Media and Community Relations Intern’s primary responsibilities include:
• The daily production and delivery of the “Daily News,” a newsletter sent company-wide that aggregates the important industry news of the day ;
• Regular (monthly, yearly) and ad-hoc (events, announcements, competitors’ news, etc.) coverage tracking, reporting and analysis ;
• Assisting in thecreation and updating of press materials, including brochures, executive biographies, fact sheets, FAQs, media alerts, press releases, press kits and more ;
• Contributing to the creation of corporate content, whether it be blog posts, internal articles, videos, social posts, interviews etc ;
• Assisting with the daily management of our corporate social media presence, including moderation, reporting and working to develop content with the Community Manager.
• Work on opportunities to promote Company worldwide, such as awards or pitches for feature-length articles.
Qualifications
• The Media and Community Relations Intern must have the ability and willingness to tackle tasks big and small, an analytical eye, attention to detail, and the capacity to maintain calm and order even in chaotic circumstances ;
• Fluency in both English and French, including excellent oral and written communication skills in both languages. Native English is preferred. Additional languages a bonus ;
• Sincere interest in the video game, technology or entertainment industries. Previous experience in these industries is preferred ;
• Impeccable organizational and time management skills ;
• Understanding and experience using social networks in a professional capacity is preferred ;
• Working on or completed a degree in communications, English or journalism/public relations. Related degrees will be considered. Advanced degrees a plus ;
• Ability to work in an international environment.
6-month internship starting in July 2017
