WHAT YOU'LL DO
We’re currently looking for a marketing strategist with expertise in the Media & Entertainment industry who thrives on insights, storytelling, go-to-market strategy and content development. This role is based in either San Francisco or New York City with regular travel to Los Angeles.
WHO YOU ARE
If you’re motivated by the idea of rolling up your sleeves and collaborating across functions to strengthen our industry practice, this role is for you. Sales, research, product marketing, event marketing, editorial, PR and fellow industry marketers will be among your closest collaborators. You’ll have an opportunity to contribute to our overall business marketing strategy, leading the way for Media & Entertainment clients in particular, define sales strategy and messaging, and ultimately grow our piece of the revenue pie.
Our ideal candidate will understand how to uniquely position Company for critical business audiences and top-tier M&E advertising partners. The strategist will define how brands and agencies can use our platform to achieve their marketing objectives via bold, compelling narratives and go-to-market content that drives awareness and action.
• Serve as one of Company’s Media & Entertainment Industry experts; align Company’s value proposition with advertiser and industry-specific marketing objectives
• Lead the development and delivery of Company’s marketing plan in collaboration with our sales and sales strategy teams to drive advertiser adoption of our platform
• Establish a unique POV for the M&E marketing initiatives and incorporate into our overall marketing strategy with a focus on go-to-market strategy for key M&E audiences
• Create the content and marketing programs that will maximize industry revenue growth; focus on why Company is relevant to the industry and how best to use the platform to meet marketing objectives
• Train sellers and facilitate the ongoing sharing of knowledge and best practices across regions and sales teams
• Solicit quarterly feedback from sales, clients, and agencies to drive research, content, and product development
• Collaborate with business marketing managers to develop compelling, client-facing materials for sales to use
• Builder mentality, an insatiable sense of curiosity, and love for rolling up your sleeves and getting to work
• Deep understanding of marketing, media and digital advertising, ideally from within the industry (e.g. brand manager) or as a builder or marketer of another ad platform
• Preference for a fast-paced and dynamic environment; track record working across complex cross-functional teams
• Experience conducting full-funnel marketing from awareness building to identifying and nurturing qualified leads through our marketing programs
• Execution and problem solving skills that are second to none; resourcefulness, attention to detail, and comfort tackling ambiguity
• Proficiency crafting creative, inspiring, solution-driven stories that communicate complex concepts simply
• Passion for understanding the customer and identifying client needs and solutions that only Company can deliver
• Left- and right-brain thinker who draws energy from analytical and creative thinking
• Outstanding communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills; team-first mentality
• Desire to help Company become a vital part of clients’ marketing strategies
Requirements
• BA/BS degree; MBA a plus
• 3-5 years of marketing or sales experience, M&E industry expertise a plus
