Basic Job Function:
The position reports into the Marketing Director for Global and US Core Markets and will be based in either Alpharetta, Georgia or Boca Raton, Florida.
The Marketing Manager, Latin America is responsible for building brand adoption and driving demand generation for Company across Latin America.
The successful candidate will manage and support all marketing activities including but not limited to audience segmentation and analysis, demand generation activities (direct mail, advertising, email communications, events and webinars), content and sales tool development, product and Latin American specific marketing communications based on competitive analysis/intelligence to internal and external stakeholders. This role will work with Marketing, Market Planners, Product Management, Sales and functional areas to ensure that efforts are on target/on brand and meet the needs of the organization from a lead generation, customer retention and thought leadership position and drive and impact revenue and profit targets. The position reports into the Marketing Director for Global and US Core Markets.
Qualifications:
• 4-year College Degree (preferably in Marketing or Business) or equivalent in work experience. MBA preferred.
• A minimum of 7-10 years business-to-business, Latin America or South America marketing experience required.
• Fluency, both written and verbal, in Spanish and English. Expertise in contract negotiations and ability to translate/localize marketing materials from English to Spanish.
• Extensive expertise in messaging and value proposition development.
• Extensive direct marketing experience including but not limited to direct mail, email, SEO/SEM, industry events/conferences, webinars, social media, online and print advertising, and customer events.
• Ability to review marketing analysis to uncover underlying drivers, assess potential impact and design metrics.
• Experience in leading projects in their entirety and possess strong project management skills.
• Experience in working in a matrix environment with multiple stakeholders and partners.
• Experience in handling international vendor relationships on all levels, Latin American preferred.
• Experience in using contact management systems, CRM and/or marketing databases and the know-how to leverage its functionality to maximize lead generation and up-sell/cross-sell opportunities.
• Budgeting, planning and ROI tracking experience.
• Extensive direct marketing experience.
• Experience with integrated lead generation and retention programs and processes.
Key Results Area:
1. Strategic Messaging and Development
This position will work directly with the Marketing Director, Global and US Core Markets, Market Planning teams, Sales leaders and Vice President of Marketing to develop a yearly comprehensive marketing plan for Latin America. The marketing plan will contain but not be limited to value propositions per audience, marketing strategies and tactics with supporting rationale, public relation strategies, digital and social marketing strategies, market research initiatives, direct marketing programs, sales readiness and metrics to track results.
2. Message and Value Proposition Development and Maintenance
Messaging and value proposition development is a critical component of this job as how we communicate our value to our internal and external stakeholders directly impacts our success. This person will be responsible for understanding the Latin American market and competitive landscape, customer opinions and concerns and product/solution benefits and translate those findings into localized, impactful messaging that resonates with both internal and external audiences.
1. Events Management
Execute on an annual events calendar that incorporates brand awareness, lead generation thought leadership, and vertical development. This position will deliver an initial annual events proposal and manage all logistics and on-site facilitation. In addition, user conferences and webinar planning are a major component of this position due to the strategic planning, execution, cost and analysis of these types of events.
1. Sales Marketing Alignment
One of the main goals of this position is for the Marketing Manager to be fully aligned with the sales organization whether that is someone who helps set the go-to-market strategy, execute specific campaigns and programs or acts as the liaison between the marketing department and sales organization.
1. Budget Management
Manage the marketing budget for Latin America with strong attention to Return on Investment (ROI). Assume financial responsibility for Latin American marketing activities. Create and drive marketing initiatives that will maximize sales and profitability. Work with Marketing Director, Global and US Core Markets and Marketing Operations to track, analyze and report marketing results per initiative on a monthly and quarterly basis (depending on audience) aligned with marketing Key Performance Objectives (KPO’s).
