DESCRIPTION:
The Marketing Manager, Company Sports Fantasy must be an innovative thinker with experience managing digital subscription marketing campaigns from concept and creative through optimization and post-mortem reporting. This person will go beyond traditional processes and tactics to provide actionable strategies to grow the Company Sports Fantasy business.
Responsibilities include:
Build and maintain a robust Fantasy CRM program that enhances the value of Company Sports’ premium Fantasy platform and drives brand loyalty and YOY improvement in product retention rates
Plan and manage marketing campaigns that reach Fantasy Sports players on internal and external platforms to drive paid subscriptions and free game signups
Develop and execute strategies and tactics to engage Company Sports Fantasy players and convert them to users of Company Sports apps, newsletters, podcasts, social accounts and other content and products
Drive creative direction and messaging to improve the quality, tone and performance of campaigns
Identify, plan and test new marketing opportunities to improve user retention and increase RPU
Create, maintain and present subscription revenue forecasts to Finance and senior staff
Perform as an active thought-leader and internal expert on digital subscription marketing and the Fantasy Sports competitive environment, particularly as it relates to best practices and trends in mobile, email, conversion optimization and emerging Fantasy platforms and products
QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of digital subscription or membership marketing experience is required. Experience in sports - particularly Fantasy Sports - is strongly preferred
Must be an avid Fantasy player who understands and has experience with season-long Fantasy, daily Fantasy and pick’em style games (e.g. brackets, office pools, etc.) on desktop and mobile
Understanding of digital marketing including landing page optimization, A/B testing, email marketing, display, video, SEO and social media
Excellent copywriting skills with experience crafting targeted messages (email, landing page, etc.) that present value, drive action and support brand and product positioning
Detailed knowledge of website analytics and subscription reporting tools (e.g. Omniture, Google Analytics, Tableau, etc.) and some familiarity with basic web development and design concepts
Expertise in forecasting, analyzing and reporting on financial performance and other KPIs
Hands on manager who is able to work under pressure and find solutions in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business or a related field (MBA preferred)
Must successfully pass a background check
