Job Title
Marketing Director
This position will be the point person for all MXM marketing efforts, particularly PR and social media efforts.
Responsibilities include:
• Public Relations (40%): Be the day-to-day liaison with external PR firm to assist in planning and executing all PR efforts. This means attending weekly status meetings, connecting PR team with proper internal subject matter experts/leadership, assisting with internal follow-ups and scheduling, and sharing all coverage across internal and external channels (email, social channels and website)
• Social Media (30%): Work closely with an internal social team expert and be responsible for managing and developing MXM’s social media presence, which includes developing an editorial calendar and consistently drafting and scheduling all posts to ultimately expand the agency’s social presence.
• Awards (10%): Excellent writing and editing skills will be a plus as the Marketing Director will lead all efforts in planning, coordinating, entering and tracking all industry award submissions, which requires working closely with multiple creative and account teams. Must be able to analyze and understand award criteria and requirements and develop, track and schedule for multiple award deadlines and entries. Must be able to understand award criteria and requirements and implement a strategy to develop high-quality entries that results in wins.
• Website (10%): This role also plays a key role in maintaining and updating Company website, and will work closely with the web development team to ensure the agency website is updated consistently with news and other information as needed. You will also work with account teams and creative teams to develop written and video case studies to showcase on Company website.
• Conferences (5%):Track industry conferences and identity key conferences for MXM to attend and/or speak at. Work closely with leadership and/or speaker on presentation development. Work closely with Corporate team on major ANA conferences and events. Handle registration and planning of client dinner at Content Marketing World conference. Attend conferences as needed as part of support team. Manage social handles during key conferences (ex: live tweet)
• Thought Leadership (5%):Work closely with executive leadership and industry associations on thought leadership efforts as needed. This may include white papers, webinar development, conference workshop presentations, speaking opportunities and case studies. Establish a marketing plan to promote key thought leadership efforts.
