Job Summary:
The Role:
As a junior member of the Live Nation Chicago marketing team, your job is provide multiple levels of marketing support to the local marketing team. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to learn all aspects of the live music marketing world.
Responsibilities:
• Order & ship all radio & tv spots for all NAC & Club & theatre shows
• Compile post event analysis and advertising settlement packages
• Review invoices for accuracy and update marketing spreadsheet with invoice information
• Work with accounting department to ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner and inquire about anything outstanding
• Proof all e-cards for pre-sales and show announcements
• Compile weekly press releases for distribution
• Coordinate grass roots level marketing campaigns using retail, street teams and local media partnerships
• Work with contracted graphic designer on creating collateral for street level promotions
• Maintain contact lists, on sale schedules, other database & quick reference items
• Research various performing artists and provide marketing recommendations when necessary
• Work with the respective artist’s manager or publicist on securing preview and review coverage, as well as photo approval and day of show approved press lists.
• Assist in day of show event coverage for Live Nation theatre, arena, amphitheatre and stadium level events
• Actively participate in booking and marketing meetings with new and engaging marketing ideas
• Assist with day to day marketing tasks as needed
• Proofs each ad that goes to print, forwards ads on to artist agents/management, work with management and graphic designers on revisions & secure final approval from artist camp, which is needed before each ad ships.
• Coordinate with the box office on shipping all promotional tickets to radio stations
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field
• 1-3 years experience with marketing
• Detail-oriented and able to coordinate multiple work streams under deadline pressure
• Ability to take initiative, problem solve and perform research
• Knowledge of the principles of target marketing
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly MS Excel and Powerpoint
• General knowledge of music, sports, theater, and family events
• Knowledge of concert promotion and live event business a plus
• Some local travel will be required
