Online Acquisition Specialist
The Online Acquisition Specialist position is responsible for supporting subscriptions sales via online sales channels. The Online Acquisition Specialist is also responsible for effective collaboration and communication between the individual newspaper(s) and the Hub and Group sales team and the monitoring of expense budgets and achievement of local volume
goals. The specialist will manage the day-to-day coordination and execution of local sales programs through social media, display advertising, mobile transactions, search engine marketing and e-Mail as directed by the Consumer Marketing and Sales team.
Responsibilities:
• Landing page creation and quality assurance, order testing, ad placement scheduling and expense management.
• Accuracy and timeliness are essential in order for sales managers to make timely and accurate forecasts and adjust sales tactics where necessary.
• Position requires candidate to have knowledge of digital marketing trends, good written and
verbal communication skills, strong analytic abilities and problem solving capabilities.
• Make data-driven decisions around marketing spend across channels to drive the lowest cost of
acquisition of new subscribers
• Optimize the customer acquisition channel using A/B and multi-variant testing (ad copy, calls to action and landing pages).
• Identify new trends and capabilities with the goal of optimizing performance.
• Keep current on the latest digital/paid search trends and opportunities to incorporate into ongoing campaign management.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum 2 years of digital marketing; Web development experience a plus; Sales experience, strong technical aptitude
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Google Analytics, social media management software, ION
• Communication skills
