Responsibilities
Job Purpose
The Manager, TV Network Primetime Forecasting is responsible for Primetime Cost management and Margin analysis. The position will report to the VP Primetime Cost Forecasting.
Essential Responsibilities
Maintain the NBC network primetime program cost budget – work closely with West Coast finance and program scheduling to develop, analyze and report primetime cost estimates/actuals and explain variances.
Determine actual and projected margins for entire Primetime Schedule, interacting with Pricing, Sales and Research to ensure proper valuation of ad units.
Prepare cost and profitability charts for use by senior management.
Build and update the primetime preemption model for Sports, News and Political preemptions.
Track changes to Primetime schedule and perform “what if” studies to determine financial impact of those changes.
Reconcile network movie balances.
Gather competitive network schedule data and utilize to estimate hours of competitive program schedules.
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Four or more years experience and demonstrated success in financial management and analysis
Accuracy, attention to detail and deadlines required
Strong analytical skills, clear thinker
Good communicator, collaborator and team player
Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to multi-task
Must work well under time constraints
Part of West Coast team so time flexibility needed due to occasional late afternoon requests
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA, MBA
Proficient in Excel, VLookup & Pivot Tables, PowerPoint and SAP, required.
