Manager of Strategic Planning: Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family
Vans is more than just any ordinary action sports footwear company. Our company values the voice of the youth, which is why it is powered by creative self-expression through outlets such as action sports, music, and street culture, to name a few. As the Manager of Strategic Planning you will assist the Director of Financial Planning and Strategic Analysis in the preparation of the long term strategic plan and annual budget. You will own the model for the North America region and be responsible for consolidating the financials from all regions into a global view. You will partner with Senior Management to provide financial support and analytics for key projects to improve revenue and profit performance. In addition, you will measure key metrics against historical and targeted performance and create scorecards to show the results. Along with these responsibilities, you will perform ad-hoc financial modeling for special projects
How You Will Make a Difference:
Assist with the development of the 5-year strategic plan Own the model that supports the annual budget process for North America and Global Vans Create scorecards and exception reporting Consolidate and provide visibility to global data Support the development of the quarterly review presentation and financials Develop analyses that assess and improve the profitability of the business Perform ad-hoc financial modeling for special projects
Skills for Success:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 7+ years in related field and level
Educational/ Position Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
• MBA preferred
Skills:
• Understands relationships between P&L activities and the balance sheet and cash flow statements
• Has analytical mindset with ability to solve difficult problems
• Thinks strategically and provides thought leadership
• Demonstrates ability to communicate with senior level management
• Exhibits strong Excel skills
• Possesses robust story telling & presentation capabilities
Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
• Some travel may be required
