Company is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering to lead our video team in New York, NY.
This is a hands-on engineering leadership role for a strong technologist and high performing manager. This role requires a highly motivated individual who is comfortable with rapid changes in direction and environment. To be successful, you will need to work well in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. You will be responsible for leading teams through rapidly evolving complex demands, including multiple projects with dependencies on other internal organizations. You will bring excellent coding, design and architecture skills along with strong people and management acumen and experience.

Key Responsibilities
• Working with product management to develop and maintain a roadmap for your team
• Drive your team to innovate and delivering roadmap features with agility and high quality
• Hire, develop and mentor top Engineering talent
• Represent your team and product line in cross-functional discussions
Qualifications
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in software development
• 3+ years of experience in managing direct reports
• Strong JavaScript development skills required
• Experience in ad tech and/or online video, a strong plus
• Experience with Java development
• Experience with Agile required
• Experience with automated testing approaches
• Experience with build systems (maven, grunt)
• Deep understanding of system architecture and experience with cloud-based system
• Ability to work well with others, motivate other team members, and thrive in a dynamic and challenging work environment. Able to set goals and achieve scheduled deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
