DESCRIPTION:
Company EcoMedia seeks a talented Manager, National Programs to work as a key member of the EcoMedia team in the NY office. The Manager will support all aspects of the National Programs work including managing relationships with nonprofits and advertisers, designing and executing social impact projects, managing recognition events, and tracking impact to support EcoMedia’s portfolio of products across all Company platforms.
Responsibilities
• Serve as the overall Account Executive and primary point of contact for a portfolio of advertiser-selected community projects, CSR events, and other social impact initiatives; manage, coordinate and be accountable for all aspects of program deliverables including project sourcing, selection and implementation, recognition event planning and execution, content asset coordination and delivery, project completion, and impact reporting for each project in the portfolio.
• Understand advertiser goals, communicate and promote these goals to the nonprofit, appropriate EcoMedia teams, and other internal and external stakeholders, and engage EcoMedia teams in project and event execution, and asset delivery to ensure high-quality and responsive client service.
• Understand each nonprofit’s social mission, project goals, and expected impact through the project, and communicate and promote these goals to the advertiser and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide direction to, and work with, appropriate EcoMedia teams and other stakeholder groups on content development, brand activation, social media, finance, etc. to support program fulfillment.
• Work closely with the advertiser and the nonprofit, as well as key Company and EcoMedia teams, to develop the overall design and plan for recognition opportunities and events that help to recognize the advertiser, activate and amplify the advertiser’s brand, and celebrate the funding of a project.
• Manage and support recognition events and other activities on-site and remotely in close collaboration with the nonprofit or government agency, which includes overall event design, coordinating guest lists, supporting special guests and speakers, preparing talking points and remarks, coordinating event materials and props as needed; etc. As required by the advertiser, design and implement employee volunteer experiences.
• Play an active role in efforts to both strengthen relationships with current nonprofit and government partners, as well as identify, cultivate, and secure new relationships.
• Conduct independent research, and collaborate regularly with nonprofits and government agencies to research, identify and source qualified, social impact projects and funding opportunities for Company advertisers, and help pitch these project opportunities to interested brands.
• Conduct research, and gather information from the EcoMedia and Company Sales Teams, on advertisers to understand their philanthropy, employee engagement, corporate affairs, community affairs, and other Corporate Social Responsibility objectives that can be met through EcoMedia projects.
• Develop and deliver creative projects decks, in a fast turn around timeframe, that incorporate qualified projects and funding opportunities matched to advertisers’ interests, corporate social responsibility goals, or campaign objectives.
• Using approved legal documents provided by Company, draft and help negotiate agreements, prepare statements of work for each project, and ensure appropriate legal review and signature.
• Collect and review project completion reports from nonprofit and government partners, and upload impact data into Salesforce.
• Support internal projects to improve processes, enhance product offerings, build expertise in key issue areas, innovate, etc.
• Other projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 5 years experience in project management, relationship management, corporate sponsorships/events and/or client services required. Management consulting experience is a plus
• Functional knowledge of nonprofits, government, and corporate social responsibility (some direct experience preferred)
• Functional knowledge of TV, radio and online advertising
• Organized, detail oriented, proactive, able to multi-task and manage multiple concurrent responsibilities and requests
• Strong presentation and relationship management skills
• Work well under pressure with a strong sense of urgency
• Team-oriented, strategic thinker with ability to work independently
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of Salesforce a plus
