The purpose of this position is to support the Global Merchandising and Design Operations (M&D Ops) & Go-to-Market (GTM) team to develop the seasonal GTM calendar as well as train in process, procedures and tools that enable Global and Regional Merchandising and Design teams to achieve critical GTM activities and deadlines complete and on-time.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate on development of seasonal GTM calendar and manage documentation of shifts and changes within the GTM throughout the season
• Drive translation of GTM calendar into detailed procedures that will achieve on-time completion of critical deadlines necessary for timely delivery of commercial samples and production
• Guide and train M&D teams on necessary procedures to ensure critical deadlines are met on time and accurately.
• Create standardized tools that enable M&D teams to execute with clarity and consistency. Identify and recommend ways to evolve process and tools
• Drive the seasonal CS/AD sample process including oversight of budget
• Partner with cross functional operations team to facilitate and drive ownership across the organization, problem solving to resolve issues and educating key opportunities to assure operational excellence
• Manage day to day logistics of planning of seasonal milestone meetings to ensure successful execution
• Educate and clarify decision rights, ways of working, objectives and outcomes of milestone meetings with cross functional partners
• Participate in and/or lead key strategic projects as required by the M&D leadership team
Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree required
• 3+ years experience within the apparel industry
• Merchandising or operations experience with an apparel manufacturer, retailer or marketer preferred
• Strong working understanding of apparel development calendars.
• Ability to effectively interact and build partnerships with key stakeholders across functions and levels within the organization
• Extremely detail oriented and thorough
• Ability to effectively problem solve
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, comfortable presenting information in front of groups
• Proficient with software applications, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
