Job Description:
Detailed Job Description/Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day social media presence for Warner Music Canada and Warner Music Canada’s artists to drive fan acquisition, engagement, and retention
• Monitor audience engagement across Social Media profiles and present regular reports on goal progress to the marketing team with key performance indicators and metrics
• Ideate and implement artist specific social media, web, and direct to consumer initiatives on behalf of Warner Music Canada’s artists
• Optimize all fan-facing social channels for Warner Music Canada’s artists
• Work with management and internal departments to develop and maintain artist messaging calendar across all social platforms
• Create a clear, concise and united voice for Warner Music Canada across all WMC-branded Social Media platforms including community management and moderation.
• Assist with CRM strategies and newsletter builds
• Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Publicity, and the rest of Marketing, to coordinate artist messaging and content creation for social media platforms and direct to consumer campaigns
• Work with web/mobile development team to ensure consistent and impactful messaging across all web and mobile properties
• Build and maintain relationships with social media platform representatives and participate in regular update meetings
• Communicate product updates and best practices to artists and managers
Required Competencies/Skills:
• 3-5+ years professional experience in social media marketing/management, direct to consumer marketing, and/or content creation
• In depth knowledge of all social media platforms and analytics, streaming and mobile services, and apps
• Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with both creative and business oriented colleagues and partners
• Excellent organizational skills – ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines. Evening and weekend work may be required.
• Comfortable working with a Content Management System
• Knowledge of HTML, Photoshop/graphic design software, etc. considered an asset
• A post-secondary education in marketing, digital media, or communications is preferred
