Manager, HR Compliance & Operations
The Manager, HR Compliance & Operations is part of the People & Organization (P&O) department of Company Entertainment (SPE). The manager is responsible for managing the overall development and implementation of the HR compliance component of P&O policies/procedures and matters relating to equal employment opportunity, fair employment practices, and other employer compliance issues managed throughout P&O. Additionally, the manager is responsible for providing compliance subject matter expertise to the internal P&O Business Partners and team on projects and systems implementations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Proposes and implements systems and processes to ensure that SPE’s P&O systems, policies and processes are kept up to date with and comply with company policy and federal and state mandates
• In partnership with the Legal Department, ensures that corporate policy materials are disseminated to employees in all countries where there are SPE employees
• Oversees the preparation, analysis, maintenance, and communication of the Affirmative Action Plan and required government reporting, including the EEO-1 and VET 4212 reports
• Partners with internal P&O team members to offer P&O compliance subject matter expertise on projects, system implementations, etc. and escalates any legal questions or concerns to the Legal Department
• Through a solid working relationship with the company’s Legal department, keeps abreast of changes in laws, regulations and guidelines; shares information appropriately throughout P&O as to ensures proper P&O ownership for compliance
• In partnership with the Compensation Team, manages the evaluation of U.S. pay policies to ensure they are compliant with SPE and legal guidelines
• Manages SPE’s employment contracts, by tracking all components of the executed contract, as well as advising P&O Business Partners on the contract processes and procedures.
• Is responsible for the management of US severance activity, which includes advising Business Partners on current policies and procedures, as well as managing any individual or group termination paperwork and payments
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Education, Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource, Business or related majors. Masters a plus.
• 2 years of Human Resources experience, with responsibility for compliance
• Understanding and interest in human resources policy, practice and applicable legal regulations
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently on difficult projects with minimal supervision
• Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality/discretion
• Strong interpersonal skills
