Responsibilities
Role Summary:
The Manager, Digital Marketing is responsible for working with NBCU digital properties, its partners, and the sales team to develop and execute revenue-generating marketing solutions for the NBCU digital properties. Reporting the Digital VP of Marketing, this position will:
• Effectively translate a brand’s/client’s needs into actionable digital programs from ideation through campaign launch to post campaign reports
• Effectively translate editorial initiatives into sellable opportunities and communicate these opportunities to the sales
• Utilize existing capabilities and new innovations in online, mobile, and social platforms for revenue generation
• Develop and/or leverage new products, research, and creative to drive sales
• Create B2B marketing positioning and materials for NBCU’s digital assets and partners to proactively position NBCU Digital to the ad marketplace
Essential Responsibilities:
Monetization
• Client-Specific RFPs & Brainstorms: partner with sales to formulate marketable programs that are customized to fit specific client objectives - includes the “big idea” brainstorming and liaising with internal teams to create compelling sales programs (reactive sales support)
• Contribute to the development of New Sales Opportunities: identify high-interest features, products, and emerging ad platforms that will serve as compelling thought starters for client conversations (proactive sales support)
• Optimize Sales Campaigns: Oversee the post-sell process to help address campaign questions/refinements and maximize campaign delivery
Strategy
• Packaging: create, socialize, and execute packaging strategies that leverage the NBCU digital brands and our partners and identify cross-platform opportunities for potential increase of overall client spend
• Products: collaborate with internal teams (edit, product, research, etc.) to identify and develop new emerging ad opportunities around key product offerings, including mobile and social media experiences
Internal Communication/Facilitation:
• Work with Digital VP of Marketing to be a point of contact for inbound marketing requests and liaise with all appropriate internal groups (sales, partnership marketing, trade marketing, editorial, research, etc.) to facilitate efficient and transparent communications
• Educate internal constituents on digital strategy and drive top-of-mind awareness within sales organization
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 5+ years of marketing-related experience at an agency, media company, or sales organization
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Familiarity with the development and execution of promotions
• Understanding of the creative development process
• Proficient in: MAC, PC, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Keynote

• Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY

• Must be 18 years or older

• Familiarity with the standard digital analytics tools (Omniture, @Plan, comScore, etc.) and ability to derive insights from the data
