Responsibilities
Role Summary:
Manager, Accounting and Reporting, will be responsible for various accounting and reporting requirements for the Filmed Entertainment Segment to Company Corporate and external parties. The role is in a fast paced environment with opportunities for growth.
Essential Responsibilities:
Key contributor to the quarter close process with oversight of the consolidation of Joint Ventures reported as part of the Filmed Entertainment Segment’s operating results, including preparation of journal entries, supporting schedules and variance explanations.
Assist in the preparation and presentation of the quarterly Balance Sheet review package to Global Controller and CFO.
Prepare and review quarterly account reconciliations, driving proficiency within the parameters of Company policies.
Prepare, review and consolidate data requests as part of Filmed Entertainment financial reporting process.
Drive initiatives that identify process improvement opportunities and build efficiencies into existing reporting routines.
Perform technical accounting research as required, assist in providing technical guidance to Global Controller and work with business units to implement new standards as necessary.
Participate in annual SOX 404 certification and audits.
Manage and develop Senior Financial Analyst level staff.
Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
Minimum of 5+ years of finance experience
CPA preferred
Strong / exceptional Excel skills and working knowledge of Powerpoint
Knowledge of Business Warehouse / SAP preferred
