Team Profile
In Europe the Loans Operations department is split between primary originations and closing, secondary trade closing, Loans servicing, the Loans agency and the Loan documentation team. The role of loan operations is to provide a front to back infrastructure solution for the timely execution of loan transactions in the primary and secondary market across Corporate and Whole Loans Businesses and the subsequent servicing of the trading portfolios.
Primary Responsibilities
- Reviewing Credit Agreements and liaising with Business Unit, Legal and external Counterparties
- Liaising with the Business Unit on Data Tape files sent from external counterparties
- Preparing and executing all pre-system set up necessary for the on boarding of new loans
- Building deals in Jellybean at the credit committee approval stage and closing the deals in the system when the Credit Agreement signs.
- Ensuring the proper internal approvals are obtained prior to closing and funding of loans
- Processing and managing any initial funding as well as subsequent funding, rollovers, fee payments and ad-hoc Lifecycle events
- Processing any internal movement of positions between different trading and banking books
- Preparing and distributing any client reports associated with the loans
- Liaising with Business Unit, Credit, Legal, Controllers and external parties through each life cycle stage of the loan
- Preparing metrics reports
- Upkeep and amending of various policies and procedures
Qualifications
Skills Required
- Commercial mortgage/real estate warehouse lending experience or corporate loans experience essential
- Strong analytical and exceptions management skills
- Accuracy, attention to detail, good time management and organisation skills
- Strong team player with good communication/relationship building skills
- Ability to think laterally and efficiently to tight deadlines
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, Loans Systems and Loan related applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Delivers team tasks on time to required quality
- Assumes ownership of problems and drives towards their resolution
- Displays high level of attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks appropriately
