This role is responsible for facilitating communication between CR & Content Partners to support marketing, promotional, licensing & merchandising activities.
Responsibilities:
• Proactive collection & management of all assets required to market and exploit licensed/investment IP, including but not limited to: master video assets, key art, scripts, metadata, and sample merchandise, etc.
• Support cross-functional teams to obtain approvals from Licensors/Production Committees, and help resolve any approvals-related roadblocks by communicating the needs of CR & it’s Licensees.
• Be a general resource to aide in the creation of relevant assets for the intended market & demographic (including, but not limited to: marketing/promotional materials, merchandise design, etc.) by communicating IP-related attributes to the appropriate parties.
• Ensure that licensed materials are utilized according to the rules provided by the Licensor and the contractual terms between the parties.
• Proactively monitor and keep up-to-date relevant internal trackers and documents.
• Prepare presentations, including but not limited to: translations of one sheets, pitch decks, and periodic licensor/committee reports, etc.
• Generate a monthly report distributed to cross-functional teams with information on anime industry news and trends in Japan, including business intelligence shared by licensing partners.
• Support function for the Japan office on an ad hoc basis.
• Maintain open lines of communication, listen for feedback from team members and troubleshoot. Encourage collaboration and cross-departmental information sharing.
Qualifications:
• 1-3 years experience in relevant licensing & merchandising role.
• Excellent persuasive presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience and ability to influence without authority.
• Self-motivated, proactive, optimistic attitude.
• Experience in collaboration and relationship management skills.
• Japanese proficiency a plus.
