Role Overview
The Learning Architect is responsible for cultivating relationships with partner institutions to enable partner growth and ensure satisfaction and effective implementation of MHE products and services. The focus is on helping partner institutions to fully integrate MHE products and maximize effectiveness by providing high level instructional design services and advice and assistance to faculty with an aim to increase renewable revenue for MHE.
The Learning Architect works with customers (who may be HOS, T&L, lecturers, tutors, IT or course coordinators), following the ADDIE framework, to offer an initial consultation and evaluation of needs, a design process creating effective and engaging online course solutions utilising existing digital learning objects, piloting where required and offering ongoing support, evaluation and redesign if required. This is a customer facing role and customer presentations and training services will also be required.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Present to prospective customers and consult to understand their learning outcomes and challenges
• Create a customised and tailored experience utilising existing digital products and reusable learning objects (RLOs) developed through a deep understanding of our technology, content and solutions
• Design and deliver to scope and timelines following best practice project management
• Prepare faculty to teach programs by writing training support materials and delivering training
• Evaluate and pilot with our partners as required and redesign where necessary
• Work and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies and learning design trends
• Apply adult learning principles, instructional design principles and experiences working in multiple formats to design world class online learning programs
Requirements
• Demonstrated Experience in designing online learning content
• A background in higher education is highly valuable
• Advanced degree/qualification or equivalent experience in instructional/learning design, educational technology, communications, business or other relevant field preferred
• Experience working with the ADDIE model
• Experience in a fast-paced, iterative environment
• Demonstrated passion for effective learning
