Reporting into the Head of Project Management, the Lead PM is responsible for line managing Senior PMs and PMs, working closely with the Head of PM on the operations of the Brand Experience department, liaising with senior stakeholders on best practices, improving ways of working, and ultimately setting the foundations to enable the project management team to deliver campaigns and projects.
As a senior member of the PM team, you will also be expected to lead by example in how you interrogate and scope projects, use the in-house project management and collaboration tool (Wrike), communicate with wider and senior stakeholders, adapt and improve processes and share project and process learnings.
We’re looking for someone with a wide variety of experience, who can bring their learnings and observations from different environments to help improve and develop processes in BX, and future proof the department as we grow and scale. This role will have at least 2 direct reports, and a key element of this role will be to challenge and develop them.
What you'll be doing...
• Working with the Head of PM on using and developing the departmental roadmap as a future planning tool and setting up project templates to inform delivery dates
• Supporting pre briefing scoping sessions and interrogate briefing documents
• Working with the content, marketing, social teams on refining project requirements and breaking these down into deliverable actions
• Working with the PM team on creating templated timings and project plans moving forward, to support efficient project management in the future
• Setting up roles and responsibility documents and ensuring these are agreed amongst key stakeholders and clearly communicated and actioned
• Working with the studio traffic manager on assigning briefs to the PM team and overseeing the how effectively the department is resourcing projects
• Ensure guidelines are in place (and developed) for effective use of budget
• Working with wider stakeholders on mapping out best practice process guidelines and ensure the team are using these effectively
• Managing the approval process
• Supporting the implementation, and roll out of our internal tool Wrike to manage and deliver all projects and share project information
• Supporting the development of Wrike as a tool to suit our business requirements
• Striving to constantly improve planning, processes and procedures required to deliver content and leading changes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness is maintained at the highest level
• Being proactive about upskilling the wider PM team, sharing learnings and actively changing and adapting how we work to suit business requirements
• Troubleshooting, escalation of issues and implementing learnings (from retrospectives) to avoid future issues
• Management and development of direct reports
We'd like to meet...
• Previous experience working in house or at an agency delivering digital (including mobile) creative marketing campaigns; ideally for a global business, where there are set processes in place. This experience must include delivering long lead projects of more than 6 months
• Experience demonstrating how candidate has implemented new processes to support management of their projects, how they went about these process improvements and change
• Experience working directly with senior stakeholders across multiple functions
• Experience managing a team or direct reports
• AGILE certified qualification(ideally), or proven experience and examples of delivering projects using this approach
• An enthusiastic and proactive attitude. Although the team requirements and objectives are very clear, this role needs to be flexible and versatile, to adapt to the type of projects and workload that may arise as the business requirements evolve. Essential Skills:
• A strong understanding of web, digital and creative with excellent time management skills and an ability to drive a project forward to ensure it meets its deadlines
• Technical knowledge for digital delivery and a passion for innovation within digital communications
• Experience managing a range of production dependencies across a wide range of platforms e.g. Mobile, desktop, email, display advertising, social, apps whilst communicating effectively with a wide team with varying skill sets, to deliver content.
• Exceptional at multitasking and thrive in a fast paced environment. The ability to multitask and deliver a range of different assets, at different times, or all at once, is essential
• An understanding or previous experience with project management tools or content management systems is desirable. This role will work very closely with the content managers and will include some interaction with our CMS as well as using our in-house project management and collaboration tool Wrike
• PC & Mac literate (understanding of photoshop, ID, e.g. how it works, but not necessarily be able to use) is desirable
• Brilliant verbal and written communication

• Confident, calm, organised and a clear thinker
• Excellent people management skills
