SOREL Key Account Marketing Manager
Summary:
This position reports directly to the SOREL Global Brand Director. Responsible for the development and implementation of strategic key account marketing and communications plans. Provide strategic direction and leadership to develop comprehensive communications with US sales team and account marketing contacts. The position will formulate strategies that are channel and account specific. The position will drive the planning calendar as well as the design, build and delivery of key account presentations.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, plan, and execute key account marketing strategies that meet brand needs and account-specific objectives. Role is expected to determine, recommend, and deliver long-term account marketing strategies as well as execute seasonal campaign support. Responsible for helping define how a particular strategy can help an account add value to their business and inspire internal creative teams to create content and messaging that works to achieve this by both utilizing existing brand campaign assets as well as advocating and delivering on account-specific needs.
• This position works closely with the Brand Media Manager and agency partners in driving outbound and site marketing strategies for accounts that deliver against SOREL brand objectives while driving lower-funnel account objectives. This position works closely with the SOREL US sales team to understand long-term business drivers for wholesale channel and in determining areas of brand opportunity. This position also works closely with SOREL In-Store Marketing Manager to ensure consistent application in-store across key account channels and in the determination of multi-channel plans for accounts that include an in-store marketing prescence. Approve all key account briefs and approve all creative being delivered by Columbia or the account.
• Responsible for management of timelines and key account planning calendar so that initial key account strategies are ready to present prior to the seasonal sell-in meetings. Work closely with SOREL Operations team in the preparation of seasonal sell-in needs for all of Marketing.
• Responsible for determining and upholding KPIs related to account campaign effectiveness. This includes working closely with US sales, account marketing represenatives, and the SOREL media team to determine KPIs on which campaigns are evaluated. Responsible for recommending online tracking procedures and mechanics to ensure online campaigns are properly tracked.
• Manage key account marketing budget. Work closely with Global Brand Director to make strategic recommendations based on SOREL brand objectives and work closely with finance to manage budget on regular basis.
• Travel to Key Accounts for necessary planning, presentation and follow-up meetings on a seasonal basis. Travel will be as needed and during key times such as pre-lines, line presentation and marketing meetings.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required in business, marketing, or a related field.
• 8+ plus years of brand and/or retail marketing and/or advertising experience in progressively responsible positions.
• Strong knowledge of retail business, retail math and retail profitability models encouraged.
• Previous key account marketing experience considered a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, exceptional project management, organizational, and administrative skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects with varying deadlines.
• Must demonstrate team and leadership skills.
• Understands the complexity of multi-channell marketing across all consumer touchpoints and effectively interprets business goals and marketing strategies.
• The ability to solve problems, operate independently with some guidance, and work effectively under pressure is imperative.
• Ability to interact effectively in a complex organization. Must be able to establish excellent working relationships with individuals and teams at various levels and from various fields of expertise.
• Works to improve processes create efficiencies and introduce cost & time saving measures where possible.
• Must take initiative and be resourceful in finding answers.
• Must have advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills.
