Purpose:
The ITAM (IT Asset Management) Hardware Asset Manager is responsible for the implementation, governance and continuous improvement of the ITAM Process within the organization. The ITAM Hardware Asset Manager has direct, hands-on responsibility for the day-to-day running of the ITAM Hardware process within the organization and insuring compliance with ITAM Policy, Standards and processes. Duties will include but are not limited to, Ensuring Hardware asset data in the EITAM database is accurate to specific measurable tolerances, support of operational and business hardware asset data requirements, enforcement of ITAM Policy specific to the lifecycle management for hardware assets, working with operations teams globally to deploy ITAM enterprise processes, and through strict asset controls drive continuous value to the business.

Primary Responsibility:
• Responsible for overseeing the processes of receipt, service life, and disposal of all IT assets globally
• Ensures all IT assets are registered and status tracked within the ITAM repository
• Ensures change information about IT assets is provided to the ITAM Process
• Facilitates reporting requests of ITAM data to identified stakeholders
• Investigates existing lifecycle processes currently employed and works with operations teams to introduce common hardware lifecycle processes and assist with developing procedures
• Documentation and process mapping for Hardware related lifecycle processes in support of ITAM enterprise Policy and Standards
• Maintains an awareness and understanding of relevant industry trends and issues and their potential impact, and formulates an appropriate response where required
• Participates \ Engages the asset on boarding process with business & Technology owners to insure new assets are classified and meet the requirements for tracking within the ITAM policy and processes and database standards
• Communicates industry trends and issues and any recommendations to management and staff
• Leads the implementation of ITAM enabling technology for IT hardware globally
• Work closely with SACM Tools team for maintenance and enhancement development requirements to Asset repository requirements
• Work closely with EITSM Tools and Reporting team to generate metrics reporting for Hardware related KPI’s
• Acts as SME for ITAM on Hardware related RFP process, Mergers and Acquisition projects and Divestitures
• Fosters and maintains strong working relationship with Business and Technology operations teams tasked with Asset Management activities.
• Provide system and process training and support the with Business and Technology operations teams
• Educates the organization about established ITAM standards, policies and processes and their value
• Schedules IT asset audits, investigates findings and ensures corrective actions are implemented to reconcile the AMDB to prevent recurrences
• Ensures changes to ITAM scope, policies and process are communicated to all ITAM stakeholders
• Escalates unauthorized IT asset changes or alterations that are in breach of IT Governance Policy to Change Management
• Participate in annual ITAM Policy and Standards reviews
• Working with business and technology partners, generates, maintains, updates and reviews ITAM Processes
• Author personal development plan setting attainable goals and review plan annually for progress
