DESCRIPTION:
KCBS2/KCAL9, the nation’s largest duopoly, is seeking an investigative reporter for quick-turn news coverage and occasional long-form investigations. To be considered you must have a record of exhibiting strong journalistic ethics and display a clear understanding of libel and privacy laws as they apply to television and digital news gathering. The ideal candidate will provide examples of investigative topics developed through enterprise reporting, delivered on-air in a dynamic and compelling fashion. Behind the scenes it is essential in this position to work closely with field producers, photographers, newscast producers and news managers in a collaborative and professional manner at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
• Minimum of three years on-air reporting experience
• Minimum of five years journalism experience, preferably in a top-twenty market
• Maintain a steadfast commitment to accuracy and fairness
Preferred Skills/Experience:
• Avid I-News
• Field experience with undercover cameras and digital surveillance systems.
Educational requirements:
• College degree preferred.
