Position Summary
Tax - Compliance: The Tax Department internship will expose the candidate to several major areas of tax services for an SEC registrant company including: 1) accounting for the entertainment industry, 2) financial reporting for income taxes and 3) tax return preparation for federal, state and local filings. Assigned work requires heavy attention to detail and exceptionally strong communication and organization skills Responsibilities include but are not limited to the preparation of period local tax filings, basic federal and state income tax returns, sales and use tax returns, and other compliance issues. The intern will be required to assist tracking filing deadlines; prepare supporting calculations in Excel; write response letters to certain state and government offices. Candidates must be a current student and have high interest in pursuing certification for public accounting (“CPA”).
Internship Details
Company Internship Program – Fall 2017
Santa Monica, CA / September 11 – December 1, 2017 / 20 hours per week maximum
Company is the leading independent filmed entertainment studio with a strong and diversified presence in motion pictures, television programming, home entertainment, family entertainment, video-on-demand and digital distribution of content.
The Company Internship Program is designed to provide interested students with a hands-on experience in the entertainment industry.

Important Dates:
• The Company Summer Internship Semester will run from September 11 – December 1, 2017.
• The last day to apply is Friday, July 7, 2017 at 5PM PST. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
• All interns are required to attend orientation on either Monday, September 11, 2017 OR Tuesday, September 12, 2017.
Details:
• All internships are located in Santa Monica, CA, unless otherwise stated. Interns must provide their own housing and transportation.
• Interns can work a minimum of 10 hours/week and up to a maximum of 20 hours/week.
• All internships are paid.
• Interns must be current sophomores through recent grads (within 6 months of internship start date).
