Summary of Internship
Company Society is seeking a Digital Content Production Intern to join and support our Digital team. This person will be responsible for assisting in the development, management, and publishing of digital content such as social media, blogs, and website content for Company website. This intern will have the opportunity to learn about each of the facets of our digital team beyond content operations including product management, development, design, and audience engagement. Our ideal candidate is highly motivated, thinks creatively, eager to learn, and is a self-starter that can bring their own ideas to the table.
Five Principal Learning Responsibilities
1. Enhance writing and editing skills by assisting with content creation (30%)
2. Learn how to use our Content Management System (25%)
3. Participate in the digital planning process and aid in project management (20%)
4. Expand understanding of digital process through self-directed project (20%)
5. Learn how to use Google Analytics and participate in a user research study to improve skills in audience research and user insight (15%)
Related Field of Study Required
• Undergraduate or graduate degree required. A range of degrees will be considered based on experience, personal skills, interests, and desire to connect their perspective to our work.
• Previous internship experience preferred, but not required
Knowledge and Skills Required
• Ability to work well with others and independently as needed (with in-office and remote colleagues)
• Excellent communication, organizational and writing skills
• Positive attitude with proactive approach
• Proficiency with Microsoft office – particularly with Word, excel and PowerPoint
• Experience using digital design software such as Adobe Photoshop or related, a plus
Eligibility
Candidate must be enrolled at an accredited College or University at the time of application.
Internship Program Start and End Dates
• Start Date: Monday, June 5, 2017
• End Date: Friday, August 11, 2017
