Sales & MArketing Internship – 12 months starting July/August 2017

Responsibilities:
About the role:
Discovery Education seeks a high-energy graduate intern to support both the Corporate Educational Partnership (CEP) team and the International Sales team based in their Hammersmith office. The Senior Director of CEP develops custom-published education solutions with like-minded organizations in the UK and internationally. Where you will come in is sourcing new business leads, researching the business viability of various companies and presenting to the Senior Director for discussion. Once you have a short list you will be responsible for reaching out and making initial contact with the client.
You will also be providing marketing support to existing CEP programs, co-ordinating with both the DE Marketing teams and the external clients in the delivery of dynamic marketing solutions to drive program engagement. You will assist with marketing activities that include social media, setting up events and attending occasional seminars and networking seminars so a confident personality that enjoys meeting people is necessary.
The VP of Global Partnerships is responsible for Discovery Education’s rapid expansion into non-US markets. You will be responsible for assisting the London based International Sales team in the delivery of existing client content requirements (video clip renewals), business lead research and event support as / when needed.
Requirements:

About you:
The role will be responsible for working with some degree of autonomy so they are looking for a confident person who is solution driven. This role is a mixture of sales and marketing So ideally you are interested in this along with having an interest in education. You will be out going and enjoy meeting and communicating with people. There may be times when you are on exhibition stands and need to promote us in the best possible light. You will be observant and pick things up quickly but equally be comfortable speaking up when you need help. You will have a determined personality for the new business side and a creative side for the marketing piece.
This is a wonderful opportunity to really understand both sales and corporate social responsibility within a global and well-known brand. The more interest and imitative you show, the more you will be given and will learn. It is anticipated that your time will be split equally between the two (interconnected) teams.
