Summary
Provides accurate and efficient call and administrative support in response to employees, Human Resources (HR), retirees, former employees and managers/ inquiries. Answers inquiries by utilizing knowledge and available resources in the area of benefits, payroll and HR policy/programs while maintaining a high level of customer service. Participates as a member of the HR Service Center (HRSC) team to effectively meet overall HRSC quality outcomes and service level agreements; and maintains a high level of confidentiality through understanding privacy laws and requirements.
Essential Responsibilities
• Receive and/or place the majority of calls regarding subjects including but not limited to benefits, payroll, leaves of absence, HR policies and programs, and verification of employment. Requires ability to apply benefits, payroll and policy knowledge and judgment to ensure accuracy and completeness of guidance and documentation of inquires.
• Enter data transactions into PeopleSoft (e.g., changes to employee address, name, etc.) in a timely and accurate fashion to maintain the highest level of data integrity; and update the case management system with call/transaction specific information and appropriate documentation.
• Achieve and maintain expertise to navigate and/or accurately record information as appropriate within several business systems such as HR data management (PeopleSoft), employee information repository (Authoria), case management tracking (Remedy), and time entry (Passport, TIME). Maintain proficiency in Microsoft based PC applications (Excel, Access, Word) to perform job functions.
• Assist with other benefit, payroll and HR program administration as requested.
• Research information and contact caller for follow-up as required. Research will involve consulting with multiple resources; team members, online systems, databases, review of historical documents and consultants.
Required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 years experience in multi-faceted customer service environment
• Human resources, benefits, and/or payroll experience
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite
Preferred
• 2 or 4 year degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
• Call center experience
