The HR Assistant is responsible for meeting and greeting employees and guests to the HR department (HR, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development and Global Compensation teams). A key ambassadorial role for the function which has visibility and interacts with every functional area of the Sony Music business.
Responsibilities
• Reception and greeting of candidates and visitors to the HR floor/department
• First point of contact face to face or via phone for HR team
• Key project manager for the background check process
• General admin support for the HR team as needed and requested
• Perform work in compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations pertaining to equal employment opportunity and OFCCP
• Represent the company in escorting guests and visitors around the facility as well as making introductions to clients on behalf of HR
Qualifications
• One year of prior administrative experience is required
• Strong computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook) and a strong knowledge of the Internet (search tools, social networking tools, etc.) as well as the ability to pick up new computer programs/systems/applications quickly
• Other Skills/Traits:
• Interest in and understanding of both the HR industry as well as the music business
• Ability to engage with creatives and individuals at all levels from entry to professionals and senior executives
• A “can do” customer service attitude while maintaining tact, discretion, sensitivity and diplomacy
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work efficiently
• Detail oriented and enjoys research required to successfully support the new employee background check process
• Excited about being in a Company ambassadorial role both for prospective executives, employees, vendors, and guests of HR as well as broader company
