The Solutions engine is responsible for:
• Across-the-board strategic services - for clients, our businesses and our brands
• Internal consulting & planning support
• External consulting services

• Creative and production operations & services
• DJ Custom Studios - our custom content newsroom
• DJ Event Management - our event management team
The Custom Content team is made up of ‘newsroom’ of storytelling experts - Company’ most unique competency. Representing the highest editorial capability, the Custom Content team will provide original and creative editorial ideas and execution to our custom studio offering and beyond - including thought leadership platforms. The team will combine internal and partnered experts, and will draw the new creative production team within the Solutions Engine to scale up or scale down according to demand.
Responsibilities:
Company Custom Content is looking for a highly talented and motivated Head of Design to help lead and inspire our team in the development of cross-platform, journalistically-forward custom programs for external clients. This individual will help drive the creative process from concept, through various rounds of revisions, to final execution, ensuring the highest level of quality and design thinking at all levels. They will need to incorporate newsroom standard design ethos, and will demonstrate a refined sense of composition, type & color, as well as motion, interaction & user experience.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Responsible for the visual development of highly engaging custom content within programs across print, web, app, audio and video channels
• Working fluently with Project Editors, Project Managers, Developers, Production Artists to generate excellent creative ideas to present back to external clients
• Commissioning talent such as illustrators, photographers, etc. to create custom works for projects
• Managing projects efficiently and working within assigned budgets
• Creating & editing final results for presentation to the client / printer / producer.
Skills and Experience:
• An outstanding portfolio and a dynamic personality
• Minimum of 10 years design experience
• Bachelor’s degree in design / design related field
• Minimum three years experience working with a custom publishing studio
• Ability to work seamlessly with editorial, development and production staff, as well as clients & vendors and for the production of high-quality visual work for pitches and live projects
• Fluent knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, including Muse; familiarity with IAB Rising Stars & standard ad units; conversational knowledge of HTML, Javascript, JSON feeds, CSS
• Fluent understanding of cross-platform web-publishing and mobile-web browsers
