About the Client: OTC Consumer Care Brand

Objectives of the Role
The Group Digital Director is responsible for overseeing the complete digital service for this OTC Consumer Care Brand and driving their overall digital and omnichannel approach. The role ranges from overall insights and strategy to ad operations and campaign analytics. This person will build relationships at the highest level within MediaCom/Company, the Client organization, digital agency partners and digital media owners, providing thought leadership and strategic guidance for all existing and emerging digital media efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Drive the overall digital approach to “Best-in-Class” and achieve leadership in the digital industry.
• Establish and lead the strategic approach for the Client’s digital media to drive decisions across the portfolio and within brands related to media and content.
• Collaborate with agency managers, MediaCom/Company, WPP, other digital agencies and digital media partners to ensure strong deployment and integration of digital media, including Data, Video, Display, Search, Mobile and Social strategies.
• Be an active collaborator across all digital agencies and partners to build a tighter link between messaging and distribution.
• Develop and codify an integrated data, measurement, and optimization plan to guide digital strategy that focuses on reported results.
• Support, suggest and contribute to the Client’s overall digital roadmap.
• Take a portfolio view in driving over-arching recommendations and consistency in approach across channels. Roll up relevant media tactics and plans to identify synergies/opportunities with partners.
• Develop clear Best Practices / Guidelines around how Mediacom uses different channels and / or delivers on different objectives that can be aligned with the Client to drive consistency and compliance.
• Develop a clear plan to test, learn and scale new approaches across the portfolio.
• Anticipate the Client’s evolving needs and adapt resources and capabilities as required
• Champion operational excellence, helping to drive flawless execution in media placement as well as appropriate staffing and developing/delivering the agreed scope of work.
• Inspire while leading by example in developing, motivating, mentoring/coaching the team.
• Control digital media costs through appropriate go-to-market strategies across biddable/ IO media.
• Ensure delivery of great campaign results across the Client’s portfolio and brands.
People Responsibilities
• Lead by example while developing, motivating, and coaching a team of specialists as well as the broader media teams.
• Target top talent, help to recruit and select mid and senior level staff, ensure all senior level direct reports master the skills and organizational savvy required for advancement.
• Able to establish and maintain effective relationships within MediaCom and Company as well as among digital agency partners and digital media partners.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Experienced marketer with broad context around industry best practices (Media and Digital) as well as a knowledge of the CPG/OTC space to help deliver excellence
• Understanding of the principles of marketing and advertising, as well as media concepts and terms, creative and budget requirements
• Track record producing strong digital innovation AND business results
• Detailed awareness of client business issues, industry trends, consumer trends, promotional resources, market status, and competition
• Complete knowledge of all aspects of Digital Media, Data, Search, SEO, Mobile, etc.
• Solid understanding of interactive research tools.
• Fluent in mathematical concepts with an ability to translate data into well-articulated ideas
• Must possess strong written, presentation, analytical, quantitative, and verbal skills
• Superior organizational, interpersonal, and managerial skills
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; concentration in Marketing/Media/Communications a plus
• 15+ years of directly related experience
