A BIT ABOUT
Operating at the heart of our business, Shared Services offer efficiencies to all of our Brands by providing centralised resources and competitive synergies for the Group. The Shared Services teams work across all Brands and are responsible for a huge range of activities from delivering product to over 30 countries worldwide, to achieving award winning store designs and handling 100,000 Customer Care calls each year. Within Shared Services there are over 1,000 employees working across 16 distinctive departments including IT, Finance, HR, Logistics, PR, Property, Digital and Purchasing.
THE ROLE
To create and design work across a variety of media including magazines brochures, leaflets, direct mail, invitations, promotional campaigns, point of sale, posters, logos etc. both for external customers and internal staff
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
• To take a design through all the stages of the design process, from concept to handover of artwork
• To support and work closely with the Print Buyers to achieve deadline and budget
• The creation of a consistent corporate and brand identity
• To ensure all jobs fulfil the brief given by the client and are of high quality design, while still meeting required deadlines and budget
• To prepare artwork to printers specifications including marked up lasers
• To liaise with clients, take job briefs and do client presentations to senior executives
• To communicate clearly and accurately to relevant Designers and Artworker members of the team
• Responsible for keeping up to date with current design technology
MUST HAVES
• BA Honours Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent desirable
• Market aware and experience within the design industry required
• Previous experience in Retail/Commercial Print Production preferable
• Creative thinker with strong negotiation skills
• Able to think on their feet and respond with visually stunning ideas
• Be a team player, who is self-motivated, with excellent organisational, project management and communication skills
• Sound MAC skills are paramount – Adobe Creative Cloud 2015 suite including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, as well as knowledge of latest digital, litho, screen and web print production processes, and associated repro
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise schedules and manage workloads
