Summary:
The Graphic Designer assists in the preparation of in-store visual merchandising materials and is responsible for the execution of finished print pieces under the supervision of the Visual Director and in partnership with the Visual Managers.
We are looking for a creative, upbeat, extremely detail-oriented designer who manages deadline pressure easily, can juggle multiple projects simultaneously, is organized, and has a can-do attitude. The Graphic Designer’s will need to understand and implement Company’s unique aesthetic and graphic style on a day-to-day basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Designs logos and collateral materials.
• Updates and designs internal branding and training materials.
• Responsible for printing graphics of varying sizes and prepares pre-press materials to outside printers.
• Designs light box imagery, posters, tower wraps and any other visual merchandising collateral as needed.
• Conceptual design for point of purchase graphic programs.
• Conceptual design of graphics programs for open sell environments.
• Creates both electronic and print presentations from concept to completion.
• Assist Visual Managers and the Visual Merchandising Director in the design process from concept
to execution.
• Work closely with print vendors and supervise the production of projects.
• Create collateral and printed material for in-store graphics by studying layouts, proposed illustration sketches, and other product-related materials.
• Assist in the creative process to determine style, technique, and medium best suited to produce successful graphics for store level events.
• Design corporate communications and presentations, create master PowerPoint templates, and design graphics that are imported into PowerPoint.
• Discuss the design process at various stages of completion, making changes as necessary.
• Draw or sketch graphic materials and lettering to be used at counters or internally.
• Stock image searches.
• Sourcing and online research as needed.
Required Qualifications:
• 2-3 + years of graphic design experience.
• Expert knowledge Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator & Indesign).
• Power Mac user.
• Experience with color printing systems.
• Solid typography skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in utilizing MS Office – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience designing for in-store visuals and open sell environments a plus.
