Job Description
Company Atlanta is currently seeking a General Sales Manager for WVEE/WAOK stations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following :
· Responsible for day-to-day station sales operations and achieving revenue goals.
· Effectively manage the station sales department inclusive of managing inventory, pricing,
hiring staff, and maintaining market visibility.
· Create spot, non-spot and digital sales opportunities.
· Establish overall tone and direction of department and set department priorities.
· Attend face-to-face calls with Accounts Executives.
· Control and manage department expenses.
· Motivate, recruit, and train staff.
· Provide weekly revenue/pacing reports to Director of Sales.
· Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Qualifications
5+ years General Sales Manager experience in over the air radio.
A growth track record in digital revenue a must.
Must know how to motivate in today’s changing environment, can manage inventory as well as people, and bring new ideas to generate revenue.
Strong background in Strategic Account Management, sales training/leadership, pricing and budgeting required.
4 year degree preferred.
Urban and spoken word format experience a plus.
