The Financial Analyst will be responsible for analyzing network revenues, preparing billing authorizations, preparing audit support packages and reconciling account balances.
Responsibilities
• Analyze license fee agreements, calculate breakage and co-production deficits, and prepare network billing authorizations for review including all applicable supporting documentation and appropriate account coding.
• Review production schedules for shows in production, and deal memos to ensure the timeliness of license fee, breakage and deficit billings.
• Prepare and maintain revenue summaries by show to track ultimate revenues, revenues billed to date and remaining revenues to be billed.
• Reconcile various G/L account balances between systems, analyze variances and calculate any necessary adjustments.
• Prepare and review journal entries.
• Update the monthly Billings and Collections report.
• Provide supporting documentation for invoices pertaining to all billings.
• Assist in the preparation of more complicated audit support packages.
• Review and approve weekly check deposit analysis.
• Special projects as required.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree with emphasis in accounting required.
• 1 - 2 years experience public and/or private accounting experience.
• Entertainment industry production accounting or network audit experience preferred; EP/VISTA experience helpful.
• Detail-oriented; strong organizational, analytical and Excel skills.
• Strong follow-through on all projects; ability to perform tasks with reasonable independence and bring projects to timely completion.
• Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and problem-solve in a dynamic, creative environment.
• Fundamental understanding of computer systems mandatory; SAP knowledge helpful.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
