We have an opening for an experienced, innovative, strategic Financial Analystin our Columbus, OH office. Does this sound like you?
Reporting to the Director, Finance-Sales, the Financial Analystwill be responsible for providing the day to day support for School in the Finance Sales Support area as it relates to all facets of revenue (deferred, recognized, subscription, Free-with-order, restatement, etc.). This includes analysis and interpretation of financial results and developing budgets and forecasts
Critical Functions:
• Provide support for School for activities related to revenue by providing timely analysis and interpretation of financial results.
• Provides specific sales reporting (channel, product, unit code, etc.) for both internal and external reporting (plan, forecast and prior year).
• Coordinate with senior sales management and senior finance management in development of budgets related to revenue for 1-5 year periods.
• Assist in building market sizes and capture rates for budgets and forecasting.
• Assist in building growth rates with sales for budgets and forecasting.
• Assist in developing revenue projections every month for future months, quarters and yearly as mandated by the monthly estimate process.
• Assist in subscription and deferred revenue analysis and reporting.
• Assist with internal and external audit activities.
• Supports current & future acquisition activities as they relate to revenue.
• Assist in special projects and initiatives.
Requirements
A successful candidate will have:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
• Five plus years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Highly proficient in budgeting, detailed forecasting, analysis, GAAP.
• Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively across multiple functions and with varied levels of management.
