Job Role - Finance Systems Analyst
Role
The role is based in the TM1 Finance team in Peterborough.
The main duties include supporting the management accounting function, including weekly reporting, month end, budgeting and forecasting, alongside working with the TM1 Developers to understand the business process, implement improvements, assess issues and develop solutions for the Finance team.
Responsibilities
• Work closely with the finance teams to understand their weekly, monthly, forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Continuously improve financial processes and reporting, understanding the metrics.
• Challenge and influence finance teams to ensure that efficient and effective processes are implemented.
• Work closely with teams to understand requirements and scope out improvements.
• Open, Log and close user raised issues and tickets.
• Monitor systems and support users where necessary.
• Investigate issues and develop solutions.
• Ability to work with Senior management and add value
• Plan, Scope, Develop and Implement multiple mini projects.
• Prioritise work appropriate to business and stakeholder requirements
• Organise, lead and minute meetings with stakeholders
• Ability to document and interpret the clients requirements, scope, build, test, improve and implement a system from end to end.
• Develop dashboards for multiple systems and creatively and visually explain data
Professional Competencies
• Analysis – demonstrate the ability to analyse large volumes of data and reconcile in clear and concise methods.
• Reporting & Compliance – Displays the ability to follow reporting processes ensuring adherence to internal controls.
• Business Knowledge & Expertise – Awareness of key commercial drivers of the business and show the ability to be able to react to changes in reporting requirements.
• Systems - Strong Excel skills required.
• Qualification and Experience - Willing to begin or continue studying for full professional accountancy qualification.

• Relationship Management – develop trusting relationships with internal customers, team and clients.

Additional Requirements
• To commit to study for a recognised accountancy qualification
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with people across the business.
