The Company website team at Company Inc. has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Finance Director to join the Company website Finance team.
A key role in the Company website Finance team, this position will support the Customer marketing channels (Mobile, Email) and Loyalty team (Company website Rewards) with responsibility for delivery of high quality financial reporting, analytical insight, planning and forecasting to the business – providing transparency in performance and supporting optimal decision making to drive maximum value and profitability.
Due to both the scale and success of the Loyalty programme and the strategic importance of Mobile this role will be highly visible and have interaction with a range of senior stakeholders in Finance, Loyalty, Marketing and Analytics including the CFO and Customer Marketing VP.
Reporting to the Sr Director, Finance, the role will have two direct reports and is based in London.
Responsibilities
Provide finance support to the VP, Customer Marketing and Sr Director, Mobile and their respective teams.
Key responsibilities include:
Support Customer marketing and Loyalty through the quarterly forecasting and annual Planning process. This will include:
• Engaging relevant stakeholders to ensure targets are understood, agreed and approached with a consistent methodology and appropriately communicated through the business.
• Facilitate alignment between Customer Marketing and Loyalty and regional teams (VPs & FP&A) within the planning timetable, allowing timely review of assumptions & ensuring that key targets are challenging but achievable (Gross Bookings, Gross Profit, Efficiency and Marketing Contribution).
• Working closely with Central FP&A/CFO to ensure delivery of forecast presentations, highlighting key assumptions, trends, sensitivities, risks and opportunities.
• Ensure accurate inputs into Outlook and communicate any risks or opportunities to ensure transparency and performance drivers are understood.
Manage two direct reports, setting clear objectives and goals and owning roadmap for delivery and supporting team development.
Communicate complex and technical analysis to non-technical and senior stakeholders to help support optimal decision making.
Support tactical and strategic business initiatives, including building out business cases and presentations whilst working collaboratively cross-functionally and with geographically dispersed teams.
Providing robust review and challenge of forecast and assumptions and provide insight into sources of change and forecast variance and use this to guide improvements to the forecasting and planning processes.
Working on tactical and strategic analysis such as long term steady-state customer redemption and providing guidance and recommendations on future strategic direction of Loyalty Programme.
Interact with the Loyalty and Analytics teams to understand and model the impact of various initiatives on new member acquisition, short and long-term contribution to revenue and the impact on the program cost
Support and partner Mobile team to execute on high growth business plans
Provide finance support for Trading results and P&L reporting, identifying trends, key risks and opportunities and driving to resolution
Qualifications
The successful candidate will:
• Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA) first time passes
• Strong academic background – BA (2:1 or above) or equivalent required
• Proven success in providing analysis and insights to commercial business managers in fast paced entrepreneurial environment, ideally in an FP&A role
• Experience with analysis, forecasting, budgeting and management reporting including proven success in streamlining processes
• Strong excel skills essential with experience of managing large and complex data sets
• Excellent analytical, communication and influencing skills (both written and oral)
• Proven ability to manage many conflicting task
• Professional, “get it done” attitude and work ethic
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting financial information and assessing new business situations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with ERP system (PeopleSoft/SAP/Oracle/Hyperion Planning/Essbase)
