Filtration Mechanic, Associate (Full Time)

What you get to do:
- Maintain automated life support systems and water treatment facilities throughout the park.
- Enthusiastically represents Company by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.
- Ensure excellent customer service by responding to customer requirements, expectations, and needs.
- Troubleshoot and assist in valve and liquid metering pump repairs.
- Maintain the day to day water quality for the health of the animals, mammals, fish, and humans.
- Ensure the continuous operations of all saltwater, freshwater, and water treatment systems.
- Maintain and operate all life support systems within all environmental applicable regulations and permit conditions.
- Troubleshoot system problems and/or malfunctions with assistance from leadership team.
- Maintain records of activities log on a daily basis.
- Perform tests and analysis on water on a regular basis.
- Ensure general cleanliness of all facilities throughout the park.
- Maintain and ensures that all chemical drums and chemical storage areas are clean at all times.
- Utilize safe handling, usage, storage, and disposal practices for chemicals, toxic substances and hazardous waste in accordance with company and department operating
- procedures.
- Maintain proper tool inventory.
- Assist in general maintenance of the operation of the park.
- Assist in the draining, filling, and isolation of all pools and exhibits.
- Occasionally assist other locations and areas in the park as needed.
- Other job duties as assigned.
What it takes to succeed:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license; out of state residents, active military, their dependents and visiting students, must have a valid driver’s license from their state of residency and provide a copy of the DMV report.
- Must be able to obtain a company driver's license.
- Must be able to lift or move up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to speak effectively before groups of guests or team members.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to positively interact with guests and co-workers of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or languages, and individuals with special needs.
- Must have strong written/verbal communication skills.
- Aquatic Facility Operator certification preferred, or certification must be obtained within first 18 months of employment.
- 40 hours per week. Must have 5 days unrestricted availability to include weekends, holidays, early mornings, and overnights.

Compensation: $23 per hour
