Description
As the Field Visual Coordinator you will work with the Head of Visual and our Merchant Teams to set the highest standard possible for visual excellence. Your primary goal is to produce a retail environment that is creative and dynamic for our Customers.
The Field Visual Coordinator develops and communicates presentation plans to our stores that will ensure that Store Management Teams know how to present merchandise upon receipt and are well prepared to deal with delivery or sell-through contingencies. This guarantees that our Customers always see the merchandise stories that our Merchant Team conceived.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the Head of Visual to develop innovative and creative concepts for each floor set that supports the brand business objectives and generates sales.
• Understand and interpret current trends in local markets in order to generate creative solutions.
• Complete all projects in a timely fashion.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Assistant Product Managers to understand their product stories and deliver strategic visual merchandising solutions that integrate business, brand, and creative objectives.
• Ensure store presentation provides an exciting, compelling, and aspirational shopping experience. Keep presentation at a consistently high level through coaching, training, written instruction, and hands-on projects.
• Write direction for store implementation of seasonal and on-going visual merchandising solutions.
• Work with Store Operations and Head of Visual to address store layout opportunities.
• Visit stores to identify go-forward opportunities and apply findings to achieve flawless execution and selling success.
• Assist with new store creative design and field execution for new stores.
• Proactively manage and have ultimate accountability for the floor set process through effective planning, detail mapping, clean execution and timely completion.
• In conjunction with the Store Manager, support sales generation by creating an environment that highlights the appearance of products and reflects the Customer’s lifestyle and interests.
• Coach team members on merchandise placement, merchandising standards, and business analysis.
• Recognize and train talented individuals for advancement into the Visual Merchandising Team.
• Understand our Stores’ visual merchandising challenges and effectively utilizing plan-a-grams, photos, graphics and clear documentation; create communication instruments for our Stores that translate merchandising concepts into specific, actionable, visual merchandising tactics.
• Follow-up with Merchant Teams and update in-season plans based on merchandise changes and substitutions. Energetically and clearly communicate this information to Stores in a manner that guarantees understanding and compliance.
• Aggressively merchandise the Conversion Area to maximize sales productively.
• Review sign package for accuracy and appeal.
• Answer store questions regarding presentation directives and signage.
• Research and test new visual directions and initiatives to ensure continuous improvement of merchandising standards.
Skills and Requirements:
This is a full-time, salaried role with additional hours as necessary. Travel throughout the Company and Bob's Stores geography (up to 80%) is a part of the job as well.
• Piror experience demonstrationg excellent visual merchandising skills in Company, Bob's Stores, or comparable stores.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience with AutoCad or similar application.
• Effective communication – both verbally and in writing – with diverse individuals and groups with clarity and effectiveness.
• Demonstrate integrity, respect for individuals and ethical behavior. Establish authority through credibility and knowledge.
• Build and maintain lasting relationships with Store and home Office associates, vendors and customers.
• Demonstrate skill in gathering, processing, analyzing and disseminating large amounts of diverse information in meaningful and easily understood ways.
• Create effective written and graphic communication instruments.
• Acquire information effectively from a variety of sources. Understand and apply the principles of visual merchandising.
• Translate merchandise realities into effective presentation plans that will maximize sales potential.
• Grasp and apply both general and abstract concepts of presentation. Solution oriented.
