Department Information
The Company Collection team creates 4 collections per year; a pre collection and 2 Runway collections, which shows during the New York Fashion week. It is designed and developed from our HQ in Amsterdam with Italian factories by a small and dedicated team.
Position Description
- Fabric and Trim sourcing for seasonal collections Runway and TH Collection – 2 pre collections, 2 runway shows per year. - Responsible for all special fabric developments. - Manage print development. - Responsible for fabric and Trim budget. Working closely with heads of production, merchandising and product development to produce at cost and within design brief collections each season. - Find solutions for any related issues for sampling and production. - Manage colour assortments, L/D development & quality approvals for sampling. - Partner with Design, Production and Merchandising to communicate fabric standards, testing results and potential issues. - Daily communication with Italian offices and mills on any fabric related issues and deliveries. - Creating and implementing the critical path. - Liaising with suppliers to monitor delivery schedules on a regular basis and ensure delivery dates remain on schedule. - Follow up for Fabric and Trim details sheets with mills and negotiate for pricing ensuring all Bulk Terms are agreed on. - Maintaining the fabric library and giving assistance to other departments when they require swatches. - Overall seeing the fabric and trim research, development and buying from start to showroom samples and assisting for any Bulk queries.
Position Requirements
Education: Fashion Degree in Fashion/Textiles
Experience: Minimum 5 yrs for international brand
Skills: Advanced technical fabric and print knowledge. Luxury and mid market fabric mill connections. Language English, Italian, Excel
Competencies: structured, analytical, self-starter, good communicator, flexible
Others: Travels required, ability to work full time etc.
