Fabric Planning Coordinator

Role Summary:
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Fabric, and in collaboration with the Merchandising Department, you will assist in planning fabric needs to ensure sufficient material is secured against the open to buy to achieve sales objectives. This role requires close collaboration with Merchants, Mills/Suppliers and Sourcing partners.
Main Responsibilities:
• Plans and monitors fabric positions and usage to fulfill both C-41 and in season Chase requirements , according to Sr Directors placement strategy
• From the Open To Buy (OTB) and assortment plan, quantifies the appropriate quantity of fabric according to the Merchandising and Sourcing strategy
• Drive timelines and rigor in the positioning of materials; tracks TNA associated to the fabric to ensure decisions are being made at right time for color or print
• Track longer lead time fabrics to ensure we do not miss our opportunity to commit for a given delivery month
• Responsible for usage and drawdown against commitments; adjust commitments according to performance against sales plan
• Reporting of fabric positions and liability (to finance, planning, merchandising and sourcing teams)
• Maintain seasonal “Volume drivers” list and metrics assciated
• Strong involvement in Bamboo Rose fabric processes and improvements to the raw material module
Qualifications and Competencies:
• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, Fashion Design or a related field and/or DEC in Fashion Marketing or Fashion Design
• 2-3 years experience
• understanding of production cycle, of fabric, fabric manufacturing and impact on design
• Knowledge of the complex applications of the Excel spreadsheet
• Bilingual, excellent English written
• Proven ability to collaborate at all levels and across functions
• Excellent team cooperation
• Strong attention to detail
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Results oriented
