Summary of Position:
DUTIES:
The Executive Director, Sales Planning & Analysis will support executive management and the domestic sales team in the on-going measurement and communication of financial performance of VOD and electronic sell-thru of all Company film and TV product.
The role will be responsible for forecasting revenues that will drive green lighting and financial planning and analysis (FP&A) reporting as well as help inform strategic decisions.
The Executive Director will work closely with the SVP to build and maintain financial budgets, rolling forecasts, management reporting, and analytical support. Close collaboration with Accounting, Operations, and Corporate FP&A teams will also be required.
Primary responsibilities include:
prepare and review annual budget and rolling forecasts by business segment, platform, and sales person; provide analytical support in the evaluation of business initiatives and growth opportunities; coordinate with the domestic sales team on deals in pipeline, product windowing, risks & opportunities; participate and assist with business operating and metric reviews, enabling discussions about the current and future state of the business; provide periodic managerial and operational reporting (e.g. actuals, projected revenue, pending deals) to inform decision-making; serve as a liaison with Accounting to ensure proper revenue recognition and booking of deferred revenue; work closely with FP&A to ensure that actuals are tracking close to forecast and Budget any deviations from forecast or Budget are analyzed, understood and investigated; work with Operational and IT teams to further streamline models and processes; drive analyses which inform future business decisions (e.g. contract negotiation impacts, pricing changes, marketing effectiveness); and analyze relevant data such as competitive information, industry trends, and historical performance to support other divisions within home entertainment.
Experience & Skills:
Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics plus +3 years of finance and business analysis experience.
Must have understanding of complex financial modeling, analysis, and reporting.
