Position Overview
Provides collaborative and transformational leadership in a matrix organization to ensure quality, usefulness and overall integrity of financial planning, forecasting and analytics.
Strengthen global framework and coordination for management reporting and analysis in alignment with Company strategic objectives and overall profitability.
Provide Finance leadership for global effort to develop key expense metrics, identify cost efficiency opportunities and recommend solutions over appropriate time horizons to improve Company expense margins and overall expense levels while not hindering growth initiatives.
Responsibilities
• Provide collaborative and transformational leadership in a matrix environment to ensure quality, usefulness and integrity of financial plans. Ensure ownership of key assumptions and submissions, consistency in plan reporting processes and technologies with actual reporting and financial reporting and analytics across management teams.
• Further develop, refine and implement management level analytics, reporting, and actionable recommendations to senior management or business leaders, including historical trends and future perspectives, to improve overall company profitability.
• Provide strategic insights and analysis to senior management on next steps or potential action items which are linked to organizational perspectives and objectives.
• Manages, coaches, collaborates and develops personnel involved in tracking, analyzing and reporting financial and operational metrics across multi-product, multi-function, global organization.
• Performs supervisory duties including, but not limited to hiring, training, evaluating, coaching and disciplining direct reports as needed. Mentors and trains associates within the department, ensuring necessary skills are developed and specified processes are followed.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent related work experience
• 10+ years in corporate finance, financial modeling or FP&A
• 5+ years' experience in global financial services, insurance or reinsurance
• 3+ years' management experience
Preferred:
• Master’s Degree and/or CPA
• 5+ years' experience leading global FP&A team
• FP&A Certification

• Highly advanced ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines
• Highly advanced persuasion and negotiation skills when working with internal/external customers
• Advanced knowledge of broad business and finance related practices
• Ability to manage multiple projects and/or sub-teams simultaneously, including the ability to delegate key areas of responsibility
• Ability to clearly translate data into information and communicate information to all levels in the organization.
• Advanced ability to work well within and manage a team.
• Ability to define policy, communicate it, and enforce it
Preferred:
• CPA
• Insurance industry knowledge
• Prioritization and time management skills to ensure that work related activities are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Excellent presentation and proficient facilitation skills
• Takes accountability and ownership to resolve problems and find the answer and demonstrates creativity in identifying reasonable solutions that benefit all parties.
